However, they have undergone a monumental transformation. Some of the updates include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Interactive Thinglinks <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to make introducing new vocabulary more interactive and engaging<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Strategy slides<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which give students strategies to effectively complete different types of learning tasks<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Enhanced question style<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>s<\/strong> for better engagement and clarity<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Additional speaking questions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> integrated throughout the all the lessons<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Updated design<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to meet the latest design and accessibility standards\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Editable, authentic reading comprehension<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and visual texts\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Additional learning outcome slides<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at the start of each lesson and self reviews at the end of a lesson<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Knowledge review slides<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">link prior learning and prompt a readiness for learning<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the skills-based lessons, we have also added additional multimodal lessons that cover topics not included in our Beginner course and that support students to complete the final tasks. These lessons combine all skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Assessment options<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within our new Beginner Languages course structure, we have several different assessment options available, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Skill snapshot assessment within each topic, designed as a flexible assessment tool. It can be used as a pre\/post-test or as an ongoing skill assessment to show students progress in each individual skill.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An authentic communication assessment that can be assigned at the end of each topic, which assesses students\u2019 communication skills in authentic contexts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An end-of-module learning task, completed at the end of a series of topics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>How to use this course<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Select Topic &amp; Level: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose a module and topic and add to the course planner. The modules can become the sequence for your year plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Introduce Language: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use introductory lessons for each topic\u00a0 to teach key vocabulary and concepts. These can be assigned for independent work or completed together as a class.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Practice Skills: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assign tailored lessons in listening, reading, writing, speaking, and vocabulary. Allow time for skill-building in the topic context. Encourage self-reflection, allowing students to redo lessons as needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Assess and Personalise: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct a skill snapshot assessment to monitor growth and readiness for the authentic task. Repeat Step 2 and 3 if further practice is required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Evaluate: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assign an end-of-topic authentic communication task to assess real-world communication skills. Further support can be assigned if required.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Prepare for Final Task: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assign multimodal lessons to prepare for the end-of-module task.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Final Assessment: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conclude with a final end-of-module task to evaluate mastery of the module.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Ongoing Review and Mastery: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analyse final assessment data and assign further practice if needed.
